With over forty years as a locally owned family business, C.C. Automotive Repair was founded in 1981 by Charles Cillitto. Charlie was born in 1950 in Morgantown, West Virginia. At the age of 7, his family moved to Tucson, Arizona to improve some health issues that young Charlie was struggling with. Along with his two brothers, Cecil and John, Charlie attended Amphi High School, and graduated in 1968. Having a passion for cars, he found himself working at a local auto parts store just out of high school. As he learned more about automotive mechanics, he would take up small jobs repairing cars for his family and friends. Years later, having a family with two small boys, Charlie was laid off from his job from a local mine. To support his family, he began to repair cars out of his own home with a single car garage. In no time, Charlie’s neighborhood street was lined with cars needing repair, allowing for him to earn a living doing what he enjoyed, even at the cost of unhappy neighbors.

In 1981, Charlie was presented with the opportunity to open his own repair shop at 25 E Blacklidge. Four years later, the business of C.C. Automotive had grown large enough to move to a more spacious location. Charlie purchased the lot at 3101 N. Stone Ave which is where the business still thrives from today.

Although too soon, after many years as a popular mechanic and successful business owner, Charlie passed away on April 6, 2016. Now, with Charlie’s family keeping the C.C. legacy, Tony, his youngest son maintains the automotive repair shop with the support of his Uncle John. Together they continue to uphold Charlie’s business standards, by putting customers first and fixing cars the right way!
